Before You Leave:

1. Close all doors

2. Start the dishwasher (and empty it if possible)

3. Place all bedding, linens, etc., in the laundry room

4. Trash bins are located just across from the house

What We Ask of You

We welcome you into our home with trust. In return, here are the few things that matter to us:

🔥 Heating

The house is equipped with thermostats, but we recommend using the living room gas fireplace as the primary heat source — it’s much more comfortable and efficient. You can adjust the thermostats as needed for additional warmth.

🐾 Our pet friends

Pets are welcome! A mat is provided for them. We simply ask that you keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t get on the sofas or beds — thank you!

🚬 No smoking inside
(or at windows)

The house is non-smoking, including at open windows. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside — even in winter 😁

🌙 Quiet after 10 PM: our neighbours are our friends. In the evening, please keep it quiet outside after 10 PM. They're not just neighbours — they're people we know and care about.

🏄 Outdoor gear / surfboards

Not allowed inside. Please leave them outside.

This home is cared for deeply. We’ve lived here, and we still do. It has a soul, and we’re trusting you with it.
Make yourselves at home, truly settle in. Just… treat it as if it were your own.

Our Plants Need You

We’re also trusting you with our indoor plants; some have been here for years.
No need to be an expert, just a little care is enough 🙂

Small rules for pets

• Please keep your dog on a leash, in accordance with local regulations. Be mindful of shorebirds: dogs can easily disturb them, and these species are important to the local ecosystem.
  

• Please pick up after your dog outside; most rentals provide a designated bin.
  

• Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. Please use the towels provided for pets, not those intended for guests.
  

• Got a muddy or shedding pup? A quick courtesy sweep before departure would be greatly appreciated.
  

• Heading out on your own? Your pet must be crated while you’re away.
